Casey Potter is an Emmy nominated producer and media specialist from North Carolina. After graduating from East Carolina University with a bachelors degree in Cinematic Arts and Media Production, Casey began a career in the news industry which brought her to Nashville, Tennessee. During her tenure at News 2, she met Meaghan and watched her passion become this amazing non profit. Casey currently is a media specialist for HCA Healthcare managing the HCA Healthcare Today blog, posting to the organization’s social media channels and pitching stories to national media outlets. 

 

From volunteering as a prosecutor for Teen Court to earning the Girl Scouts Gold Award and even walking dogs in her hometown animal shelter, Casey has always lended a hand within her community. She is excited to now make an impact within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community across the country as a board member of The Heart of Hearing. Casey learned American Sign Language at a young age as it is her main method of communication with her grandmother, Yvonne, who lost her hearing completely after getting sick as a toddler. “Getting hearing aids to people who may not be able to afford them, like my grandmother growing up, is an incredible mission and I’m proud to be involved.”
